**** NEED MORE DETAIL STUFF HERE! ****
- How is a website transfered?
Our website transfer includes:
- 1. Transferring all of your databases
- 2. All of your website files
- 3. Reconfiguring your main website application to work with the newly transferred files and databases. This includes adjusting all necessary file paths and databases information.
The website transfer does not include:
- 1. Transferring the domain name. We can provide this service to you.
- 2. Reconfiguring more than one web application. We will transfer and re-configure one web application found in the webroot. In case you'd like to have additional ones re-configured, please let us know.
- 3. Website files if they exceed 1GB in total.
- What kind of domain name extensions do you offer?
We offer the following domain name extensions: .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .us.
You can use any other domain name extension with your account with us, provided that it has already been registered with another Registrar. In order to do so, you will simply need to:
- Set our DNS servers for your domain to point to the server, that hosts your account with us.
- Or Change the A / MX records for your domain.
- Is there any discount for managing multiple sites with RVWebHosting?
Yes, we do offer discounts when multiple accounts are ordered at one time. Please talk with your representative to determine how we can best suit your needs economically.
- What exactly is space and bandwidth/data transfer?
Diskspace is the size your website can be. Every single letter on your website has to be stored somewhere on your web host's server. Each letter is one byte, and a megabyte is roughly one million bytes. HTML pages are usually very small, but it is the extra images, scripts, and even databases that can take up large amounts of disk space.
Bandwidth/Transfer is the amount of data the server will allow your site to send in a month. Transfer is usually measured in gigabytes - billions of bytes. Once you go over your monthly limit, a host may either shut your site down for the remainder of the month or it can charge you 'overage.'
